The “Europe-Poland-Ukraine Rebuild Together” conference will be held at the Hilton Warsaw Hotel at Grzybowska 63, corner of Wronia Street. The hotel is located in the immediate vicinity of the Browary Warszawskie complex, a 10-minute drive from the Rondo Daszyńskiego metro station, a 10-minute drive from the Warszawa Centralna railway station and a 25-minute drive from the Chopin Airport.

“Europe – Poland – Ukraine. Rebuild Together” is a programme aimed at building and strengthening relations between the European, Polish and Ukrainian business communities and preparing the framework for cooperation in the future reconstruction of the Ukrainian state and economy.

Cezary Kaźmierczak

President of The Union of Entrepreneurs and Employers (ZPP)

In the late 80’s, he was a conspirator and a publisher of the clandestine movement. President rewarded him with the Officer’s Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta. Author of numerous articles concerning Poland published within the clandestine movement and in the West. Laureate of the “Po Prostu” Award of SDP (TN: Association of Polish Journalists) for editing Metrum. In 1989-1996 he lived in the USA where he was: chief editor of Polish Daily News and of Kurier Plus, later he worked in a marketing agency. After coming back to Poland, he was the Head Manager of Sales in RMF FM radio, next he established Midwest ITSE training centre (in 1997), and later in 2000 MMT Management. He conducted hundreds of trainings on sales, management in trade and communication. In 2005–2014 he was a member of the management of Adam Smith Centre. Since 2013 he is a member of the Management of Warsaw Enterprise Institute.

Marcin Nowacki

Vice-President of the Union of Entrepreneurs and Employers (ZPP)

In the years 2006–2007, director of the Investor Acquisition Department at the Łódź Special Economic Zone S.A. In the period 2008–2009 he was the director of the Entrepreneurship Department at the Marshal’s Office in Łódź (Regional Government). He participated in the management of over 40 investment projects with a total value exceeding EUR 1 billion. Marcin has been involved in the Union of Entrepreneurs and Employers (ZPP) since 2011. Today ZPP belongs to the group of three largest employers’ organizations in Poland.

As part of the ZPP, he coordinates departments responsible for law and legislation as well as relations. Marcin also oversees all foreign relations and partnerships, including the ZPP Representation in Brussels, participating in key regulatory processes for Polish entrepreneurs in the EU. Initiator and head of the European Enterprise Alliance, an organization of entrepreneurs registered in Brussels associating organizations of employers from the region of Central and Eastern Europe. Marcin Nowacki is also a chairman of e-commerce working group at the SME Connect, Brussels-based SME platform.

A graduate of international relations at the Faculty of International and Political Relations of the University of Lodz, scholarship holder at universities in England, France and China. In the years 2009-2012 he was the chairman of the Alumni Association of his Faculty at the University of Lodz. For many years active in the movement of think-tanks in Europe and the United States. A graduate of the Atlas think-tank MBA program. Marcin has been a member of the Social Dialogue Council since 2018 and has been a member of the European Economic and Social Committee since September 2020.


Dumitru Alaiba

Deputy Prime Minister,
Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization of Moldova

Dumitru Alaiba is an economist and Project Manager, strongly committed to the values of freedom, democracy and human rights. He has 20 years’ experience in Moldovan and international politics, government and civic society.

He started his career in international consulting. Having worked in Finland, Latvia, Romania, and Austria, he returned home in 2009 to join the government. He then founded the Prime Minister’s Economic Council and he lead business climate reforms.

In late 2015, he decided he did not want to be part of an increasingly corrupt and authoritarian government, so he resigned and joined civic society instead.

Between 2016-2019, Dumitru founded and lead CPR Moldova. This NGO promotes transparency and human rights, defends Moldovan democracy, resists oligarchic state capture and fights corruption. 

Having decided that CPR Moldova was the most important commitment for him, he put his economics interest to one side for a few years.

In 2019, he accepted then Prime Minister Maia Sandu’s invitation to join him in the parliamentary elections. Dumitru was duly elected as a Member of Parliament in 2019 and he chaired the Economy, Budget and Finance Parliamentary Committee.

In November 2022 he was appointed as a Cabinet Minister.

Olha Astafyeva

Lead of Export Department, Darnitsa

More than ten years of experience in the pharmaceutical business of Ukraine.

In 2015 graduated from the Bogomolets National Medical University, Pharmaceutical Faculty and completed the internship in pharmacy in 2016. In 2022 graduated from the program “Pharmacology” at Harvard Medical School with distinction.

Professional experience: logistics and procurement in pharmacy retail (TAS pharmacies), development of the company’s product portfolio, import of medicines, (pharmaceutical company MoviHealth). Starting from 2021 joined the pharmaceutical company Darnitsa- the leader of the Ukrainian pharmaceutical market and deal with export of medicines to 15 countries (for today).

Cases of success are related to the launch of new medicines on the Ukrainian market as well as distribution of domestic medicines to the foreign markets worldwide.

Jakub Bińkowski

Chief Expert on the Tax System

Board Member and Director of the Law and Legislation Department of the Union of Entrepreneurs and Employers.

Warsaw Enterprise Institute expert, member of the Social Dialogue Council and the Labour Market Council. Author of expert reports, legal analyses, and legislative positions. Specializes in regulatory issues, with special focus on economic and tax law.

Nazar Bobitski

Director of the Union of Entrepreneurs and Employers office in Ukraine

Nazar Bobitski is a former Ukrainian diplomat with twenty years of experience in the EU-Ukraine relations, trade diplomacy and export promotion. During his diplomatic career, Nazar was involved in EU-Ukraine political as well as trade and economic relations in the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry and at the Ukrainian Mission to the EU in Brussels including the position as Deputy Head of Mission – chief of the Mission’s trade and economic section, advising Ukrainian exporters on EU political and regulatory risks. In particular, he was a member of the Ukrainian team in negotiations on the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement and subsequently contributed to the country’s efforts to implement the Agreement by aligning with relevant EU economic legislation. Nazar also held advisory roles to Members of Ukrainian Government on matters of European integration and EU trade relations. 

Currently Nazar Bobitski serves as adviser to the Board of the Polish Union for Entrepreneurs and Employers (ZPP) and acts as the Union’s Ukraine representative. His professional interests cover geopolitical developments around Ukraine and across the wider Europe area, Ukraine’s road toward eventual EU membership, impact of the EU European Green Deal policies on international trade. A graduate of Lviv National University, University of Amsterdam and King’s College, University of London, Nazar is fluent in English, Dutch, Ukrainian, Russian and has a working proficiency of French and Polish.

Responsible for the CEE region, including Ukraine. A member of the board of the Digital Poland Association, she holds a PhD in administrative and banking law.

Yuliya Chebotarova

Head of Overseas Registration Department, Lekhim

Yuliya Chebotarova graduated from National Medical University named after O.O.Bohomolets in 1998, with qualification – MD, and finished her internship in therapy in 1999. From 1999 to 2003 Yuliya worked as MD and had her post-graduate education in the department of physiology and pathology of internal organs at the Institute of Gerontology and Geriatrics AMS of Ukraine, with qualification – PhD in cardiology. In 2003 – 2022 Yuliya joined the pharmaceutical business in the area of clinical research and worked for several CROs (PSI-Ukraine, INC Research, ICON Plc) in roles of Clinical Research Associate, Senior Clinical Research Associate, Project Manager, Medical Monitor, Medical Committees Manager. In 2023 Yuliya joined Lekhim JSCin the role of Head of Overseas Registration department. In this role Yuliya is responsible for the whole cycle of medicine development, such as bioequivalence studies, safety studies in healthy volunteers and patients, safety and efficacy clinical trials in patients of all newly developed “Lekhim” JSC medicines as well as dossier preparation of registered in Ukraine “Lekhim” JSC medicines for registration overseas.

Main Yuliya’s achievements include effective project management of clinical trials in different therapeutic areas, medical monitoring in clinical trials in oncology, infectious diseases, cardiology, immunology, onco-hematology, and neurology. A number of investigated compounds in clinical trials of which Yuliya peformed medical monitoring were approved by FDA and EMEA for use in patients. Yuliya’s achievements also include management of external medical committees in clinical trials in oncology, pediatrics, cardiology, immunology, congenital diseases, dermatology, hematology, and infectious diseases as well as successful registration of “Lekhim” JSC drugs overseas.

Yaroslav Demchenkov

Deputy Minister for European integration, Ministry of Energy of Ukraine

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine appointed Yaroslav Demchenkov to the position of Deputy Minister of Energy and Environmental Protection of Ukraine on May 27, 2020 and later reappointed to the position of Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine.
Yaroslav Demchenkov has worked in the UN system since June 2016, his last position being that of partnership coordinator at the United Nations Office for Project Services in Ukraine.
With a master’s degree in International Law, Mr. Demchenkov has over twenty years of experience in developing, implementing and managing international projects in energy, green economy, infrastructure, markets integration and energy diplomacy.and other sectors.
Mr. Demchenkov served as a project coordinator for UNDP, UNOPS, the World Bank, USAID and SlovakAid. His expertise covers the spheres of project management, governmental and international relations as well as policy making.
Mr. Demchenkov has profound knowledge on the functioning of government authorities, policy analysis and public decision making, having worked for the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine as the Head of the PR Department, Deputy Head of the Department of Foreign Cooperation and Interaction with International Financial Organizations, Head of the Department of Investment and Innovations Development and Project Cooperation at the Presidential Secretariat of Ukraine (under President Viktor Yushchenko) and Chief of Staff to the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine on Energy, Environmental Protection and Infrastructure in the Cabinet of Arseniy Yatsenyuk.
Deputy Minister Demchenkov covers different areas including international affairs, European integration, Green Deal implementation, energy transition and energy efficiency, research and innovation. He also involved into development of a coal sector transformation and hydrogen energy.

Michał Dworczyk

Minister-Member of the Council of Ministers, Chancellery of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland

Born on July 22, 1975, in Warsaw.

From December 2017 to October 2022, he held the position of Chief of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister. From March to December 2017, he served as the Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of National Defence. From October to February 2015, he chaired the Parliamentary Commission on Relations with Poles Abroad.

He became involved in active politics in 2005 when he was appointed as an expert in Eastern and Polonia policy and became an Advisor to the Prime Minister.

Between 2005 and 2007, while collaborating with the Secretary of State at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister – Adam Lipiński, he coordinated the work of the Interdepartmental Team for Polonia and Poles Abroad.

From 2008 to 2010, he worked as an advisor to the President of the Republic of Poland, the late Lech Kaczyński, on matters related to Polonia and Poles abroad, including policies concerning awards for Poles in the former Eastern Borderlands and supporting Polish communities in the East.

He is a graduate of the Faculty of History at the University of Warsaw. After completing his studies, he served in the military as a volunteer. He was a scout and instructor in the Polish Scouting Association for many years. For over 20 years, he has been involved in various activities, including the Polish Community Association, the Foundation for Aid to Poles in the East, and the Freedom and Democracy Foundation, which he founded.

From 2006 to 2015, he was a councilor in the Śródmieście district of Warsaw, and later in the Masovian Voivodeship. In 2015, he was elected as a Member of Parliament. He is married to Agnieszka and has four children.

Kateryna Glazkova

Oleksandr Gryban

Special Envoy on Investments, Innovations and War-Risk Insurance of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, Investment Team Lead at Advantage Ukraine

Former Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine (2021-2023). During this period and onwards Olksandr has been leading the process of creating the Ukraine Development Fund with the help of a consortium of leading capital market players, such as Black Rock and JP Morgan with research support from McKinsey. His current objectives also include set-up of an international war-risk insurance pool and specialized risk data-sharing platform with the help of world leading risk management organization, Marsh McLennan.

In the private sector, Oleksandr has 20 years of experience in the financial industry and investment banking. He held managerial positions in leading investment organizations, as the Director of the Concorde Capital investment company and one of the heads of the Ukrainian subdivision of the Amstar International Direct Investment Fund headquartered in the USA, whose assets under management amounted to more than $3 billion at the time of his employment. Banking experience includes the signing of more than 30 agreements on interbank lending with leading global financial institutions for a total amount of more than $300 million and the development of the financial and risk controlling system at the Ukrainian branch of HVB Bank, Germany.

The total amount of assets under Oleksandr’s direct management in various industries exceeded half a billion US dollars. In June 2021, he was appointed as a freelance advisor to the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine. Oleksandr Gryban participated in the preparation of international loans to Ukravtodor, development of the public-private partnership strategy, preparation and implementation of G2G agreements, negotiations with IFIs regarding the financing of large-scale infrastructure projects in Ukraine. Co-author of a number of amendments to legislative acts of Ukraine.

Horst Heitz

Since July 2023 Dr. Horst Heitz is Secretary General of Taxpayers Association of Europe (TAE). He continues to exercise complementary functions in Brussels. Sviatoslav Kavetskyi

Andrzej Kopyrski

Roman Pionkowski

Luca Ponzellini

Luca has been with the European Investment Bank (EIB) since 2005.  After five years working on operations in Sub-Saharan Africa, he moved to his current department, which covers the Eastern European and Mediterranean regions. Marcin Przydacz

Marcin Przydacz was born in Wielun on 26 June 1985. A graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Jagiellonian University, he also studied international relations and philosophy at that university. Arkady Rzegocki

Head of the Foreign Service, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland

Arkady Rzegocki (PhD), is the Head of the Polish Foreign Service since 2021, having previously served as Poland’s ambassador to the United Kingdom. By profession he is a political scientist and a professor at Jagiellonian University in Krakow. His academic specialty is Polish and British political thought, particularly the concept of national interest (raison d’État) and the issue of soft power.
He studied at Jagiellonian University and University College Dublin, conducted research in Denver (Colorado, USA), at the universities of Oxford, Cambridge, London and Florence. Since 2010, he has been a professor at the Faculty of International and Political Studies at Jagiellonian University.
Prior to his appointment as Polish Ambassador to the UK, he actively promoted knowledge of Poland in the UK for many years. From 2011 to 2016, he was a professor at the Polish University Abroad in London (PUNO). He was the initiator and first director of the Polish Research Center of the Jagiellonian University in London, which has been operating since 2011. From 2011 to 2015, he was the head of the postgraduate course “Polish-British Strategic Partnership in the EU and NATO,” jointly organized by PUNO and Jagiellonian University. In August 2016, he was appointed Ambassador of Poland to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. His term of office ended on June 30, 2021. During this period, he also served to the Court of St. James.
On July 1, 2021, he was appointed by Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau as Head of the Foreign Service. The Head of the Foreign Service coordinates the process of managing human resources in the foreign service, plans and organizes training in the foreign service, heads the Diplomatic Academy and disseminates information about the foreign service in Poland and abroad.
He is fluent in English and Russian. His wife Jolanta Rzegocka (PhD) is an English philologist and theater historian. The couple has three daughters.

Piotr Sabat

Piotr Sabat has been a Member of the Management Board of PKN ORLEN since March 1, 2022. He oversees areas related to investment projects, technology development, and engineering.

He is a lawyer and economist by education, with professional experience covering various managerial and supervisory roles in different companies. He has served as Vice Chairman of the Supervisory Board and Audit Committee at Link 4 Insurance Company S.A., a Member of the Supervisory Board and Audit Committee at Mostostal Płock S.A., and as Legal Director at the corporate FM Logistic, responsible for legal, insurance, risk management, and security affairs. He has also held the position of Head of Legal Department at GEFCO Group in Poland.

He is a graduate of law studies at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Łódź, doctoral studies in law at the National Research Institute (INP) of the Polish Academy of Sciences, doctoral studies in economics at the INE Polish Academy of Sciences, and Executive MBA studies jointly offered by INE PAN and the Vienna Institute for International Economic Studies in Vienna (WIIW). Additionally, he completed postgraduate studies in management and auditing at the Jagiellonian University, postgraduate studies in debt collection at the Warsaw School of Economics, and postgraduate studies in negotiation and mediation at SWPS University.

Piotr Sabat also has teaching experience gained from conducting MBA classes at Collegium Humanum – the Warsaw School of Management, as well as at the Academy of War Art and postgraduate studies at the Higher School of Management and Law in Warsaw.

Farid Safarov

Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine for Digital Development, Digital Transformation and Digitalisation

Since 10 November 2021, Mr Safarov has been occupying the position of the Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine for Digital Development, Digital Transformation and Digitalisation.

He has over 7 years of experience in senior management positions in commercial companies working in IT, investment and legal affairs fields.

He graduated with honours from the Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv with a degree in International Law, also from the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv with a degree in Public Service and from Kyiv National Economic University with a degree in International Economics and Management.

He worked as a Director General of the Directorate for Digital Infrastructure on Transport at the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine.

He was responsible for the implementation of the Transparent Infrastructure, Single E-Ticket projects, the implementation of Diia Арр in the transport sector, as well as  for the development of open data in the infrastructure sector.

He was also the project lead of «National Transport Model of Ukraine».

Jan Sarnowski

Board Member

Tax advisor, expert in Polish and German tax and corporate law. Graduated from the University of Warsaw with a master of laws degree and completed an LLM (tax law) at the University of Cologne. He broadened his knowledge of Polish, German, and international tax law in postgraduate studies on Taxes and Tax Law at the University of Warsaw and in a two-year study of Anglo-American law at the WWU Münster. Holder of Erasmus (2008), DAAD (2010), and Thomas M. Cooley Law School (2013) scholarships. Academic teacher in the Collegium of Management and Finance of the Warsaw School of Economics. Author and co-author of more than 50 scientific papers on fair taxation, VAT, CIT, PIT and local taxes.

After years of working in legal and tax compliance for international law firms in Berlin and Warsaw, 2016 – 2018 served as advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister of Poland, responsible for developing legislative, administrative and IT tools for improving the efficiency of the tax collection and enforcement system. Coordinated the implementation of solutions which resulted in the significant growth of Polish VAT and CIT revenues.

Since 2018 Deputy Director of the Income Tax Department and Head of the Legal Comparatistics Division in the Poland’s Ministry of Finance. In the first year of his service succeeded to deliver more than 120 comparative researches on the contemporary issues of international and domestic taxation.

Since 2019 research fellow of the Polish Economic Institute, co-author and scientific editor of 17 policy papers and reports. Co-founder and deputy director of the GovTech Polska Program, Poland’s largest initiative aimed at bringing the digital revolution to the Public Sector.

In October 2019 appointed Minister’s Plenipotentiary for International VAT Cooperation, responsible for establishing and promoting technological exchange between Poland and EU-Countries, Ukraine and Moldova. 2019 – 2022 served as Undersecretary of State in the Polish Ministry of Finance. During his tenure as Deputy Minister of Finance, coordinated the development of new e-Services (Your e-PIT, E-Tax Office, National System of e-Invoices) and the introduction of a range of tax incentives for innovative or developing companies (i.e. Estonian CIT, VAT Groups, tax reliefs for robotization of production processes, investing in start-ups through Venture Capital funds and expansion to new markets).

Olga Shapoval

My name is Olga Shapoval and I am the Executive Director of Kharkiv IT Cluster. I am an experienced TOP-manager, with more than 16 years in C-level positions in big enterprises, production, NGOs and financial services.

 

I came to the leading position in an NGO 5 years ago, from the CEO role in a big enterprise with more than 600 people, 10 thousand square meters of production and more that 40 millions euro in equipment, trading with 15 countries all over the world.

 

I have a master’s degree in finance and international marketing. I also got an MBA in Open University (London, AMBA certificate).

 

During last 4 years the cluster team under my supervision implemented more than 70 successful projects in ecosystem for technology business, from developing educational programs in more that 50 Ukrainian universities and career guidance games for more than 20 thousand ukrainian schoolchildren, to organizing the biggest event Kharkiv IT Research for C-level people in IT in 2021.

 

I was an active participant in the developing legislation and implementation of the Diia City project, in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Transformation, Verkhovna Rada tax committee etc, leading the group of stakeholders of the Ukrainian IT industry.

She was responsible for the cooperation with decision-makers, medical experts, patient advocacy groups and scientific societies (inter alia The Polish Diabetes Association and The Polish Society of Reproductive Medicine and Embryology).

Nataliya Siromakha

Nataliya Siromakha is a vice president and Head of GlobalLogic HiCC DU that is focusing on Healthcare, Industry and Technology.

Nataliya has 20 years of international experience in the software development business. She started her career with a start up that developed financial planning tools for educational institutions.

She joined GlobalLogic 10 years ago and was responsible for managing teams in the healthcare domain. Starting from April 2018 till April 2023, Nataliya lead the GlobalLogic office in Kharkiv. GlobalLogic Kharkiv is among TOP 3 biggest R&D centers in Kharkiv, cooperating with over 1300 engineering professionals in Healthcare, Industrial, Commerce and Technology domains. 

Nataliya graduated from the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute”  with a degree in management in 2000. In 2001 she received a masters degree in human relations and management from National Technical University of Agriculture.

Maryna Slobodnichenko

Deputy Minister of Health of Ukraine for European Integration 

In 2002, she graduated Taras Shevchenko National Kyiv University with a Master’s degree in Law.
In 2021, she has completed her second higher education at the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics, Master of Management.
In 2020-2021, she was studying at the University of Guglielmo Marconi (Italy), and completed master degree in the international MBA programme.
From 2001 to 2018, she was working as a lawyer in public and private companies, rising from a junior lawyer to the head of the legal department of the state lottery operator M.S.L. LLC and partner at the law firm Yurimex LLC.
From 2018 to 2023, she continued her legal practice as the head of her own law firm, Kairos Group, where she provided legal support for the adaptation of Ukrainian healthcare legislation to the provisions of the European Union acquis.
Since April, 2023 – Deputy Minister of Health of Ukraine for European integration.

Sebastian Stodolak

Vice President of the Warsaw Enterprise Institute

Economic columnist for Dziennik Gazeta Prawna, graduate of the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Warsaw, and Postgraduate Studies in Finance and Monetary Policy at the Polish Academy of Sciences. He also publishes articles for the ObserwatorFinansowy.pl portal and hosts a radio show “0+ – a program about entrepreneurship” on Radio Wnet. In the past, his articles were published in “Wprost” and “Newsweek” magazines. He won a distinction in the 15th edition of the Wladyslaw Grabski competition for his work on monetary policy. In 2017, he was awarded the Krzysztof Dzierżawski Prize of the Adam Smith Center for “promoting freedom and common sense.” In addition to his work as a journalist, he is also the lead singer of the heavy metal band Scream Maker, with whom he has released 3 albums and played over 300 shows, including 6 tours in China. 

Tetiana Stolyarenko

In 2003, Tatyana received a higher education at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, majoring in “International Economics”.

In 2022, she graduated from The State Ecological Academy of Postgraduate Education and Management.

From 2002 to 2019, she held managerial positions in a number of private companies.

From 2011 to 2023, Tetyana Stolyarenko was the president of the International Charity Fund “NETWORK OF CARING”, and even now she continues her charitable activities, provides targeted assistance to vulnerable segments of the population, people with disabilities, internally displaced persons, victims of Russian aggression, and orphans.

Over the years of work at the Charitable Foundation, more than 1,650 wheelchairs have been issued free of charge, many activities have been implemented in orphanages and hospitals.

From 2020 to the present, he is a deputy of the Kharkiv Regional Council and a member of the Commission on Ecology. He works as an assistant to the Chairman of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Environmental Policy and Nature Management. Conducts active public activities in environmental protection.

In 2021, she worked as an adviser to the Vice-Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister for Strategic Industries of Ukraine.

In 2023, Tetyana headed the “KHARKIV INVESTMENT AGENCY”, which was created to participate in the promotion and strengthening of the socio-economic development and economic potential of the Kharkiv urban territorial community, the implementation of investment, innovation, advisory activities, as well as promoting the investment development of the Kharkiv urban territorial community through disclosure investment potential, attraction of investments, development of public-private partnership, establishment of cooperation between the community and business, between enterprises, institutions, organizations of all forms of ownership.

Jerzy Jacek Szugajew

Chairman of the Board, KredoBank JSC

Over 33 years of banking experience. More than 3 years works as Chairman of the Board of Kredobank, which is a part of PKO Bank Polski financial group. He is a crisis top manager who headed KredoBank during COVID-19 pandemic and the war in Ukraine. During the years of Jacek Szugajew’s work the profit of KredoBank grew nearly twice.

Jacek Szugajew has a master’s degree of the University of Stockholm (Sweden) in banking and finance. Successfully completed professional improvement studies in London Business School (United Kingdom) and in Harward Business School of  Harward University (USA).

He has over 20 years of experience in senior management positions, including in the fuel and energy sector, including over 15 years in the public sector.

Thanks to his many years of experience, he has a thorough knowledge of all stages of project cycle management for both public and private enterprises. He has worked as an advisor to international energy companies in several projects to enter the Ukrainian gas and electricity market.

In the Ukrainian energy sector, his personal practical experience is mainly related to renewable energy investment projects as a director of the Dnipro-Bug Wind Farm and hydropower as an independent member of the Supervisory Board of Ukrhydroenergo.

Szymon Witkowski

Legal advisor, Master of Law, Master of Administration, graduate of doctoral studies in economics at SGH (Warsaw School of Economics). Specializes in the intersection of law and economics, particularly in matters concerning the market, labor law, and taxation. Author of numerous legal and economic publications. Tomasz Wróblewski

President, Warsaw Enterprise Institute

CEO Warsaw Enterprise Institute. Journalist and publicist. Creator of such titles as “Newsweek Polska” and “Forbes Polska”. He started his professional career in the United States. After graduating from the University of Houston, he cooperated with Newsweek and the Washington Post. He was a correspondent in Washington for Radio Free Europe, and after 1989 for independent Polish media. He created, among others, the Washington Bureau of RMF radio.

 

After returning to Poland he was successively: the director of the RMF antenna, deputy chief of “Wprost” then, chief of “Newsweek Polska” and “Forbes”. Vice President of the publishing house “Polskapresse”. Subsequently he became the  editor-in-chief of “Dziennik Gazeta Prawna” and “Rzeczpospolita”.

 

He lectured at Collegium Civitas. He was a co-host of the program “Ekonomia raport” in Telewizja Republika, and hosted an economic programme “Rządy pieniądza” in Polish Radio 24. Currently he is running his own podcast “Wolność w remoncie”. His numerous publications include the book „Bill Clinton – ani chwili do stracenia”, „Pisać Skutecznie” i artykuły na łamach „Polityki”, „Wprost”, „Newsweek US”, „Washington Post”, „Wall Street Journal”.

Izabela Wyżga

Chairman of the Board, Totalizator Sportowy Foundation

By education, she is a linguist and glottodidactic expert, and as a three-time scholarship recipient, she completed her studies at the Jagiellonian University. From 2020 to 2022, she served as the editor-in-chief, scientific and social activist, actively involved in the non-governmental sector – implementing numerous patriotic projects aimed at educating on national culture, economy, economics, and civil society. She is engaged in promoting Polish culture among Eastern Slavs. Since 2021, she has been a member of the Commission for Certifying Proficiency in Polish as a Foreign Language and an examiner for the Polish language as a foreign language, preparing foreigners for state-certified exams. Since July 2022, she has been the President of the Management Board of the Totalizator Sportowy Foundation.

Bogdan Zawadewicz

Bogdan participated in scientific and research internships, e.g. at the London School of Economics IDEAS, the Centre for Southeast European Studies in Graz, the Central European University (CEU) in Budapest, and the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He was a scholarship holder of the German DAAD and BAYHOST. He also collaborated with the Goethe Institute in Tel Aviv.

Bogdan graduated from the Institute of Political Sciences of the University of Warsaw. In 2017, he began doctoral studies at the Ludwig and Maximilian University (LMU) in Munich.

He is fluent in English and Serbo-Croatian.
